HDB reset needs to be more in ideology because property value cannot be depressed, that will create stratification in society and you really don't want that. HDB needs to be priority for Singapore citizens and subsidy for NS men within 5-7 years of ORD because that is the prime time for males to finish studies, settle down and procreate. Most of what went wrong was opening HDB to PRs who gamed the system and moved back to their home country while waiting for MOP.

The appeal of Singapore for other Asian countries is its relative stronger currency in Asia while the appeal of Singapore for Westerners are those who want a managed way of life and signs in English. ><

I'm afraid it really is the END and i'll add that we have undergone a "coup d'état" I cant see any other way to view this total destruction of our home.

One huge important aspect of NTUC and the relationship Singapore citizens had was Income was one designated as APPROVED for CPF savings to be allocated/Invested into it's funds. Does that mean now CPF monies in the funds are now PRIVATE?

You have you see the laws that have been changed since covid. All the laws have been changed to an extent where ALL the money that has been spent from the reserves has been already counted as will never be repaid.

The law originally protected the reserves by stating that ALL borrowings from reserves has to be returned and the method of return. All that is DELETED. They literally increased the limit as high as they could over multiple amendments since 2008 each time beating the previous limit.

So now after their clean sweep they say we have to LEARN to live with less and suffer while they are held unaccountable with ALL ministers now having the power to clear themselves and anyone they want to give immunity to FOR ANYTHING. This is all law now.

So if we want Singapore back we have to ask this

FUNDEMENTAL QUESTION: WHY HAVE ALL THE LAWYERS NOT SAID ANYTHING ABOUT ANY OF THE CHANGES?

Isn't it natural that some GLCs would fail over time, while others succeed? That's the experience of any business that competes without any special privileges. It's natural for some enterprises to succeed, while others fail.

If a GLC has a special social mission, then it cannot be expected to deliver the same return to investors that enterprises without such social missions deliver. It has to devote resources to the social mission, even if the social mission isn't privately profitable.
